Saturday Randleman tournament! June 25
Nice sunny day not to hot!
On Saturday, June 25, we participated in the Randleman tournament, a friendly competition among local Kayak clubs. It was a nice sunny day, not too hot, perfect for outdoors. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot from our opponents. Here are some highlights from the tournament.

Hello, fellow daylily lovers! Today is July 3rd, the eve of Independence Day, and I have some amazing daylilies for your viewing. These beauties are blooming in my garden right now, and they are perfect for celebrating this patriotic occasion. Let me show you some of my favorites!
- Red Hot Returns: This is a stunning rebloomer with bright red petals and a yellow throat. It's a real eye-catcher and a symbol of courage and passion.
- Star Struck: This is a gorgeous yellow daylily with a star-shaped eyezone in red and purple. It's a festive and cheerful flower that reminds me of fireworks.
- Blueberry Candy: This is a sweet and delicate daylily with lavender petals and a blue eyezone. It's a lovely contrast to the reds and yellows, and a tribute to the blue in our flag.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my daylily garden. I wish you all a happy and safe Independence Day tomorrow. God bless America and God bless daylilies!

Daylies for 6-28-23
Hello, readers. Today I want to share with you some of the highlights of my day as a professional blogger. Here are some of the things I did today:
- I wrote a new article about the latest trends in social media marketing. I researched the best practices and tips from experts and influencers. I also included some examples and screenshots to illustrate my points.
- I updated my website with a new design and layout. I wanted to make it more user-friendly and attractive. I also added some new features, such as a newsletter subscription form and a comment section.
- I interacted with my audience on various platforms. I replied to some comments and messages, thanked some new followers and subscribers, and shared some relevant content from other sources. I also participated in a Twitter chat with other bloggers in my niche.
- I planned my content calendar for the next week. I brainstormed some ideas for new topics and formats, and scheduled some posts and tweets. I also checked my analytics and performance metrics to see what worked well and what needs improvement.
These are some of the daylies for 6-28-23. I hope you enjoyed Viewing them and learned something new. Thank you for your support and feedback. Stay tuned for more updates and insights from me

OLD PERSON PRIDE
I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only old person receiving it. Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see.

nal Anthem. Old People remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.
•Old People remember World War II, Pearl Harbor , Guadalcanal , Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam .
•If you bump into an Old People on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Person on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old People trust strangers and are courtly to women.
•Old People hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.
•Old People get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies.
•Old People have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren.
•It's the Old People who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.
This country needs Old People with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values.
We need them now more than ever.
Thank God for Old People
Pass this on to all of the "Old People" you know.
I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

The Challenge
Let others lead small lives,
But not you.
Let others argue over small things,
But not you.Let others cry over small hurts,
But not you.Let others leave their future
In someone Else's hands,
But not you.
But not you.
Let others argue over small things,
But not you.Let others cry over small hurts,
But not you.Let others leave their future
In someone Else's hands,
But not you.

It Couldn't Be Done?
Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.
